A borehole that is never serviced will fail sooner than one that receives regular attention. Annual checks can catch problems before they become expensive. Here is what a borehole service covers and why it matters.
The pump is the component most likely to fail without warning. Annual inspection involves pulling the pump, checking for wear on the motor windings, impellers, and bearings, and measuring the insulation resistance. A pump showing signs of wear can be overhauled at a fraction of the replacement cost if caught early enough.
Service visits also include a static water level and yield measurement to confirm the aquifer has not changed, a water quality sample to check for any new contamination, and a check of the electrical panel and wiring. For clients on our annual maintenance plan, any minor repairs found during the service are done at no additional charge. Emergency callouts for plan clients are also prioritised over non-plan work.
